Maybe you want to launch a The Money Where Your Mouth Is art event is a unique opportunity for #ColumbiaSC to change its approach to how we support local talent. This city loves the arts and we enjoy going to exhibitions and viewing art, but that love doesn’t always translate into purchasing art. The lack of sales have a direct impact on artists’ survival and ability to live and create more work/art.

Money Where Your Mouth Is aimed to change the current narrative of the Columbia art scene. This event was free and open to the public. There was free cocktails and small bites for the guests. The organizers also invited and reached out to those who appreciate art and have the means to pay for art. The goal was to work together as a community to sell art.. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.

Money Where Your Mouth Is took place on July 31st at 6:30PM. This event is the first of its kind and the inaugural artist is the talented Monique Dove and her wonderful work was for sale.

We understood that fiscally some attendees may not have the funds to purchase the art of Monique Dove. Support comes in many different forms. Cash donations were welcomed and encouraged.
